Where?
The main conference takes place February 2nd - 4th 2027 in Theatre Rio, located in the heart of Oulu.
The legendary ski trip to Iso-Syöte takes place on the weekend before. The bus leaves from Oulu on Friday and returns on Monday.
How?

What's included with my ticket?
- Access to all sessions during the three conference days.
- Lunch, coffee, snacks, and drinks.
- Sauna by the river and the afterparty.
- Right to vote for CFP talk submissions in real time.
- All prices include 25.5% VAT.
Are the tickets refundable?
- Tickets are refundable with certain conditions until the end of November.
- Full price (minus ~5% of payment processing fees) is refunded before November.
- During November the refund amount is 50% of the total purchase.
- After November the tickets are not refundable.
- Tranferring your ticket to another person is free of charge and available until the conference begins.
- Speakers get fully refunded if they purchased a ticket in advance and get selected in the CFP.
Can individuals sponsor the conference?
- Yes, our patron sponsorship package is available for individuals too.
- You can also support our conference by purchasing a regular bird ticket and leave the limited amount of discounted tickets to those who might not be able to attend otherwise.
Where should I stay during the conference?
- Sokos Hotel Arina is the main hotel this year and we have a quota of 50 rooms there for our attendees. We will send you a code after you have purchased your ticket which will get you a single for 140€/night and double for 160€/night.
- Lapland Hotels Oulu is also a great option and we have a code available there too.
- The discount codes are valid until the end of December, so don't wait too long. The hotel room capacity in Oulu is limited and the prices can rise to over 200€ / night if you wait too long.
Are group discounts available?
- Group discounts are available on request for groups with more than 5 people.
- The discount rate is based on the attendees, from 10 % for 5 people to 20 % for 15 people.
- The discount rates are calculated from regular ticket prices.
Are there diversity tickets available?
- Yes, contact us if you're eligible for a diversity ticket or if you can't afford a ticket for a regular price.
- We also have a few volunteering opportunities available.
What payment options are available?
- You can pay your ticket with Apple Pay, Google Pay, and credit card.
- Bank transfer is available upon request - just send us an email to contact@arcticonference.com and we'll send you an invoice.
When is the legendary ski trip and how can I participate?
- The ski trip to Iso-Syöte ski resort takes place on the weekend before the conference.
- You can participate by booking an accommodation for yourself at Iso-Syöte and showing up.
- There's a bus transportation on Friday (January 29th) around 18:00 from Oulu and the bus will take us back on Monday (February 1st) afternoon.

Local companies and research institutions have been major players behind technologies such as 5G, GSM, IRC, heart-rate monitoring, and wearable fitness devices.
Subarctic climate
Oulu is a great place to visit. People are friendly and educated, and the beauty of nature can be magical during the winter months.
Even the cold won't be a problem as long as you remember to wear several layers when you're outside.
Less than 8 hours of flying from any European capital city.
The night train from Helsinki is also cozy, and it has one of the best bars in Finland.
