Biography

Vidit Bhargava is an app designer, developer and creative technologist, who has developed award winning applications for all Apple platforms including Apple Vision Pro.

Vidit's most popular work LookUp is a modern day dictionary and vocabulary building tool that enables English learners to learn the language through beautiful illustrations and interactive quizzes.

It has won App Store's Editor's Choice, has been featured multiple times in their Best Apps feature set, won the MacStories Award for Best App Update in 2019, and has received two Webby Honorees.

A Masters of Design graduate from UC Berkeley, when Vidit is not making apps, he's prototyping with emerging technologies, up-cycling old Walkmen, shooting path breaking interactive crime movies or making interactive art installations for local artist collectives.

Beyond technology, Vidit also wears the Pizzaiolo hat baking Neapolitan style Pizzas in his spare time, having received training for the same in Naples Italy.

The current state of apps and the advent of Apple Intelligence makes it important to have an action centered design approach to designing apps. The phone is only a part of a much larger ecosystem.

With action centricity, we can help people reach their intended goals in a faster more efficient and with the advent of Apple Intelligence actions (or AppIntents) form the backbone of providing on the fly responses.

All the more reason to be action centric.
