This half-day workshop introduces how to build your app interface using Apple's SwiftUI framework.

The workshop will cover how to get started with SwiftUI, making a simple one-screen app with texts and buttons, building a list-based app with one screen, linking to a second screen, and providing pointers on where to go to learn more about building apps for iPhones.

The workshop follows on from the morning workshop on deciding what an app should do, but can be taken without attending that workshop.

You will need either a Mac running Xcode or an iPad running Swift Playgrounds in order to follow along with the workshop. Some programming experience would be advantageous, although not necessarily in Swift.

The seminar will be led by Prof Chris Price from Aberystwyth University. Chris has built a wide variety of apps and shipped over 200,000 apps via the Apple and Google app stores. He also does app development training for industry, including some for Apple itself.
